I had an absolutely delightful experience at Al Usthad Special Kebab, and it truly lives up to its reputation as one of the most authentic kebab spots around.

The highlight, without a doubt, was the quality of the meat — incredibly flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. Each bite was a testament to how well they understand their craft. The softness and tenderness of both the chicken and beef were exceptional; the meat literally melted in the mouth, which is something not every place gets right.

I ordered their kebab platter, a mix of chicken and beef, and it was beautifully done — generous portions, perfectly grilled, and served hot and fresh. The freshly cut vegetables on the side added a crisp, refreshing balance to the richness of the meat, making the entire meal feel complete and well thought-out.

One thing I truly appreciated was the mint tea — simple yet incredibly refreshing, and the perfect way to round off the meal.

What sets this place apart even more is the owner’s presence and attention to detail. You can genuinely feel the passion and care in the way everything is managed — from food quality to service — which adds a very personal touch to the overall experience.

I visited during the daytime, and it was pleasantly less crowded, allowing for a relaxed and comfortable dining experience. Many people rave about this place for its authentic flavors, consistently good food, and welcoming atmosphere, and I can confidently say it delivers on all fronts.

If you’re looking for authentic, no-frills kebabs done right, this place is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommended!

I ordered their Lamb Kobideh Kebab, and honestly, it tasted like nothing I had tried before. It was absolutely amazing, and now I can truly understand why this place gets so much hype. The prices are on the higher side, but in my opinion, it’s completely worth it.

Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. Even the bread stood out—it was clearly baked fresh on the spot. The mint yogurt served alongside the kebab was excellent as well, with a rich, tangy flavor and a refreshing minty kick that complemented the meal perfectly.

Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would definitely order from them again.

Ostadi Kabab probably needs to expand 😂
We were lucky to arrive at a time when seating was immediately available. Although the prices are slightly on the higher side, the kebabs and soup were absolutely worth it. The vibe is unique and full of character, with walls covered in photos and antique pieces that make the experience memorable.
The staff, waiters, and even the owner were incredibly lively and welcoming. The owner kept moving around, chatting with customers and taking feedback — no wonder people enjoy coming here.
RTA parking is conveniently located right outside, so that wasn’t an issue either.
Definitely looking forward to trying more items on their menu.
And honestly… I do hope my picture ends up on that wall someday 😄😄

This place is amazing! We ordered the Mixed Grill for 2 and it did not disappoint. When you combine the Kabab with bread and sides you get an amazing bite of food. Perfect amount of food, very quick delivered to the table hot and fresh. Will definitely go again. Staff were very friendly and kind to us. Easy tap to pay network system as in all of Dubai. Again we brought cash for tipping and come from a 20% tip culture in the USA, not sure what the locals do.

Tried out Al Ustad Special Kebab and honestly, it lived up to the hype.

Went through a good variety from their menu and liked pretty much everything. Their kebabs are the real star—fresh, juicy, and packed with flavor in every bite.

Yes, the pricing is slightly on the higher side, but the quality, taste, and freshness definitely justify it.

One thing that really stands out is the owner’s hospitality—super friendly and makes you feel welcomed right from the start. The place also has a unique charm with walls covered in photos of celebrities who’ve visited over the years.

Parking can be a bit of a hassle, especially on weekends. But if you’re using the Dubai Metro, it’s just about a 10-minute walk from Al Fahidi Metro Station, which makes it quite convenient.
